As a fun way to end Nova Scotia's Access Awareness Week & National AccessAbility Week, join us for a FREE in-person Silent Disco! A silent disco is an event where people dance to music on wireless headphones. The music is broadcasted via a radio transmitter with the signal being picked up by wireless headphone receivers worn by the participants. Those without the headphones hear no music, giving the effect of a room full of people dancing in silence. There are many ways to participate in this event. There will be a virtual ASL interpreter and live captioning for both in person and virtual events. Liability Waiver

By enrolling in a recreation program with the Municipality of the County of Richmond you are choosing to waive all claims against the Municipality of the County of Richmond, its employees and councillors, and release them from all liability for any loss, damage, injury or expense related to the programming, due to any cause whatsoever, including unprecedented circumstances.

Photo Waiver

I hereby grant the Municipality of the County of Richmond, the right to take photographs or videos of me and my family (including any minor children of which I am parent or guardian of) in connection with any Recreation Program. I authorize the Municipality of the County of Richmond to copyright, use and publish the same in print and/or electronically. I agree that the Municipality of the County of Richmond may use such photographs or videos of me and my family with or without our names and for any lawful purpose, including for example such purposes as publicity, illustration, advertising and Web content. I understand that the circulation of such materials could be worldwide and that there will be no compensation to me for this use. Furthermore, I understand that I will waive any right that I may have to inspect or approve the finished products or the advertising copy or the printed matter that may be used in connection therewith or the use to which it may be applied. In granting this permission to the Municipality of the County of Richmond and its legal representatives or assigns and all persons acting under its permission or authority, I am fully and without limitation releasing, discharging, and agreeing to save harmless from any liability that may arise from the use of the images or by virtue of any alteration, processing or use thereof in composite form, whether intentional or otherwise, as well as any publication thereof.

All programming is designed to be a safe, inclusive, and welcoming space. Any physical/verbal abuse and/or disrespect towards other participants or Municipal staff will result in immediate removal from all Recreation Programming.
